Finishes

Longden windows can be manufactured from the same timber as door leaves and window boards or to match any other specialist design features specific to your project.

Wooden profiles made of engineered laminated timber impregnated and sprayed with high quality water based paints give Longden windows exceptional durability enabling them to meet the toughest demands of the British weather.

Aluminium Cladding

Certain styles of Longden Windows can be specified with aluminium cladding which reduces maintenance costs and this combination of a timber-aluminium window results in an aesthetically pleasing, energy-efficient, durable and low maintenance window solution.

Aluminium cladding can be powder coated to any RAL paint colour reference you wish or it is possible to cover the cladding with special woodgrain foils if required.

Virtually any form of finish can be applied to Longden timber window ranges including clear varnish, stain, wax and oil finish or in full paint using a RAL paint colour reference, all of which can be factory applied.

Windows can be specified in a range of timbers and finishes using timber and timber-based raw materials approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and exclusively from well-managed and sustainable sources.

Hardware

A wide choice of ironmongery is available including handles, sash lifts, key lockable restrictors & fasteners, concealed spiral balances, top sash pull rings and trickle ventilators.

Cords & Weights and Spirals & Balances are particularly suited to Vertical Sliding sash windows and to comply with strict conservation area requirements.

A wide range of finishes for ironmongery include brass, stainless steel, chrome, powder coated and oil rubbed
bronze finish.
